Callie Y. Kim

Founder, Waban Impact
Callie Y. Kim developed the fractional Chief of Staff model as an integrator, a role built to move freely across organizations, sectors, and borders. She founded Waban Impact to bring this model to mission-driven leaders across family offices, governments, startups, and nonprofits worldwide, partnering with clients across the United States, Mongolia, Israel, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Her earlier career spans management consulting at Accenture and Simon-Kucher, and research roles at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. She also partnered with Family Office Exchange, overseeing the APAC market.
A third-culture adult raised between Taiwan, the United States, and Switzerland, Callie left home at a young age, an ocean away from family, and has built an independent, internationally rooted life ever since. That early distance became a foundation: an instinct for building trust, navigating cultural nuance, and turning relationships into lasting capital across borders. It is this same instinct she now brings to every client engagement, mobilizing the right relationship, in the right place, at the right time.
Callie has also been invited to speak at leading institutions including Accenture, The New School, and Wellesley College.
Callie holds a joint BA/MA in Philosophy from Wellesley College and in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute Geneva, where she was part of the inaugural cohort. She is a Madeleine Korbel Albright Fellow and fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Beyond Waban Impact, Callie serves as Co-Chair of the 50/50 Women on Boards Chicago Leadership Committee, championing board diversity.
